SUMMARY 

Directly supports administration and maintenance of NQA-1 Quality Management System. In a highly
collaborative environment, the incumbent performs documentation control activities and record maintenance
in support of high-end custom equipment design and fabrication for the nuclear, pharmaceutical, and other
industries.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 
• Perform error-free distribution and submittal of controlled documents to internal and external
customers and maintain accurate records of distribution.
• Perform the updating and distribution of controlled documents and maintain accurate records of
updates (documents, travelers, Purchase Orders, CMTRs, COCs, and related items). This includes
issuing, maintaining, and controlling Springs ATG drawings as well as customer supplied drawings –
assuring that current revisions are available.
• Support manufacturing through fulfillment of on demand requests for documentation and records.
• Maintain records, including submitting documents to the document management system and
managing the records storage facility.
• Review job files for completeness and accuracy prior to filing. Notify appropriate personnel of any
discrepancies and assist with the correction of those discrepancies.
• Provide data entry support, as needed (Calibration Certificates, performance metrics, etc.).
• May assist in data analysis of performance metrics, collection, distribution, charting, and postings.
• Be team oriented and willing to learn and take on additional duties within the department based on
our customer requirements which may vary from project to project.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: 

• A High School Diploma or GED is required. An AS or BS is preferred, or College level courses or

technical training in business/office discipline.

• A proficient knowledge of computers, databases, and office disciplines is required.
• A knowledge/background of Quality Systems (e.g., ISO9001) and systems audits is preferred.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Author, implement and measure design control procedures, performance of department personnel and continuous improvement initiatives for NQA-1, ASME BPVC, and commercial production systems.
• Monitor and verify engineering outputs (designs and analyses) as required to ensure consistency, accuracy, quality and timeliness.
• Establish schedules, generate design control plans and determine staffing for the phases of each project and assign department personnel and arrange sub-contracted engineering as needed.

• Participate in and lead Lean improvement projects, meetings, and Value Stream Mapping events.
• Coordinate with IT to ensure computer and phone equipment needs of team members are met.
• Recruit and perform evaluations/reviews for direct reports.
• Train direct reports and subcontractors in ATG processes, procedures, and standard practices.
• Administrate and maintain Solidworks CAD system (licenses, templates, modeling practices, PDM vault, etc.)
• EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering though candidates with equivalent professional experience may be considered.
• At least 3 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Working knowledge of NQA-1 Quality System, ASME pressure vessel and piping codes is preferred.
• Experience in a Lean environment (and associated formal training) is highly desirable.

SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for managing, monitoring and ensuring the integrity and timeliness of project schedules. He/she participates with the project management, planning, and production control teams to resource load schedules, produce projections, analyze CPM, performance collections and support financial management tools and financial reports throughout the duration of all significant projects. The incumbent provides regular schedule reports, projections, and analyses to Project/Program Teams, customers, and senior management. The role prepares ad hoc reports and analyses as required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Maintain all required project schedules, utilizing scheduling software including MS Project.
• Coordinate in accordance to specifications and contract documents; understand the project work, and the schedule and reporting requirements of the contract. Assume responsibility for assigned areas.
• Communicate with project management team to ensure that scheduling and Earned Value Management (POC) efforts are managed in accordance with the contract requirements and meet internal collection/reporting that supports management needs.
• Participate in PERT planning process; obtain input and participation in schedule development.
• Identify correct logical relationships, constraints, etc. and propose best schedule methodology for the project.
• Works with production management team to develop budgets, and resource load schedule activities. Ability to produce labor projections, graphs, and reports.
• Maintain multiple project schedules. Solicit and provide input weekly progress updates.
• Produce schedules and schedule reports as required for both internal management and reporting to external customers.
• Incorporate scope changes and other changes to project schedules, analyze, record and report impacts.
• Works with internal and external resources to resolve conflicts, problems, and coordinate schedules.
• Ensures that an open communication system is available where all stakeholders are informed of any changes to the schedule
• Performs timely and accurate processing of schedule updates
• Monitor production process, workflow, and schedules to ensure on-time delivery
• Identify and report work capacity constraints
• Perform weekly schedule updates

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma or GED Certificate is required.
• AA degree or equivalent work experience is preferred.
• Minimum 5 (years) years of increasing responsibility in a schedule creation, management capacity.
• Experience and familiarity with budgeting, estimating, and planning/scheduling principles is a plus.
• Experience and knowledge of data processing systems such as ERP/MRP. Experience with Global Shop (ERP) is a plus.
• Experience and understanding of NQA-1 and other quality program certification requirements is a plus

SKILLS and ABILITIES:

• PC and software applications such as Primavera version P6, Microsoft Project, scheduling and database programs.
• Familiar with custom complex fabrication methods and processes.

SUMMARY

Inspects products at various stages of the production process that are received, machined and/or fabricated. Capable of the following when certified: welding inspections, dimensional inspections, surface finish inspections, and interpreting the results of the inspections against the requirements of applicable specifications or codes. Certified as an AWS CWI or ACCP Level II Visual Inspector.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs visual inspection of welds on fabricated product per the requirements of an AWS CWI or ACCP Level II.
• When certified, performs dimensional and surface finish inspections.
• When certified, performs Nondestructive Testing.
• Operates inspection equipment and interprets results to code and specification requirements.
• Responsible for coordinating inspection requirements, scheduling, and associated documentation and records.
• Evaluates data and writes reports to document results to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.
• Interprets engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and confers with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards.
• A proficient understanding of Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Inspects materials received, work in process and finished products using conventional inspection instruments to ensure conformance with work orders, blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Must maintain inspection process and documentation in compliance with the Quality System requirements.
• May be trained as a Quality System auditor.
• Other duties may be assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Qualified as an AWS CWI or ACCP Level II, and

• Inspection Experience - 3 years for High school/GED level, 2 years for Associate's Degree, 1 year for Bachelor's Degree

• Manufacturing Experience - 6 years for High School/GED level, 3 years for Associate's Degree, 2 years for Bachelor's Degree

SKILLS and ABILITIES:

• Must be proficient in the inspection practices for which qualified.
• Ability to utilize hand-held measurement tools, e.g.. calipers, micrometers, bore gages, steel rule, tape measure, etc.
• Must be proficient in interpretation of drawings and specifications.
• Must have a proficient understanding of quality documentation.
• Must be proficient with using computers.
• Must have the ability to become proficient in use of CMM equipment: grasping the concepts, programming, and able to use equipment efficiently, applicable to the product being inspected.
